Eli Palfryman – International Junior Hockey Tournament

Eli Palfryman’s name continues to be recognized within the junior hockey community through the international tournament held in his honour. Brian has been closely connected with this event and the program surrounding it, serving as the academic advisor for the team and supporting its development over the years. His involvement goes back even further — Brian was one of the original donors who helped establish the team in 1982 and later became the only double donor when the Ayr Centennials purchased the Kitchener Dutchmen franchise. At the most recent tournament, Brian had the honour of presenting the Most Valuable Player awards, continuing his long-standing commitment to supporting young athletes both on the ice and in their academic pursuits. His role reflects a lifelong dedication to helping student-athletes succeed within competitive hockey environments while ensuring education remains a central part of their journey.
